Can’t Get Out Of Bed? The HPP is Here to Help
By Camilla Garrison
As the school year comes to an end, increased drowsiness is a normal symptom of teen-aged students. One of the most prominent effects of this is difficulty in getting out of bed each morning which can lead to tardiness, laziness and a negative disposition for the day. Here at HPP headquarters, reporters have done some research and would like to share a few bits of advice for individuals suffering from can’t-get-out-of-beditus.
Tip #0:
Go to sleep early and get enough of it if you want to be successful in school/life/etc.
Tip #1:
Set an alarm clock at least five feet away from the bed so that in order to stop the alarm they must rise. (MULTIPLE ALARMS)
Tip #2:
Have some water handy for drinking as soon as they wake. A face mist is also helpful.
Tip #3:
Laying out clothes the night before the early rise is required, as to help with the ease of the morning routine.
Tip #4:
Expose eyes to bright light (including but not limited to: natural sunlight, over head light and accent lights.)
Tip #5:
Make space in schedule for errors like burnt toast, spilling water, change of clothes or unpredictable weather and/or transportation.
